2.0L direct-injected 4 cylinder includes continuously variable valve timing, which helps provide responsiveness over a wide range while enhancing fuel economy, a 6-speed automatic transmission that gets 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. In addition to Sport, the other driver-selectable drive modes are Eco, Smart, and Normal. Front impact airbags for the driver and passenger have been designed to protect the head during a frontal crash, side impact airbags for the front seats have been designed to protect the torso during a side impact collision, overhead airbags are used to protect the occupant's heads in the event of a side collision or rollover, seatbelt pretensioners automatically tighten seatbelts to place the occupant in the optimal seating position during a collision. Inside, the instrument panel is canted 10 degrees toward the driver, for a cockpit feel, and there are large, easy-to-read gauges. Leather-wrapped steering wheel, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, ice cold air conditioning and heat, power windows, power door locks, and power heated mirrors. Kia's UVO infotainment system 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Bluetooth streaming audio and hands-free telephone, and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, a USB/iPod interface, and an auxiliary input jack and steering wheel-mounted audio controls, factory power moonroof. Woven cloth front seats that are six-way manually adjustable. Heated, ventilated, and power front seats; seat comfort front and rear is very good, thanks to thick, well-bolstered seats. Even 6-foot adults should be comfortable sitting in back, 60/40 split-folding rear seats. Stability control automatically senses when the vehicle's handling limits have been exceeded and reduces engine power and/or applies selective brakes to help prevent the driver from losing control of the vehicle. ABS brakes automatically sense when a tire has stopped rotating under extreme braking, and will modulate the brake pressure to allow the tire to rotate. This increases the vehicle's ability to turn while braking. MacPherson strut-type front suspension and a coupled torsion beam rear setup. The Forte sedan is also very generous when it comes to cargo capacity, boasting a trunk capacity of 15.1 cubic feet. Tinted windows, factory keyless entry with lock/alarm, 17" alloy wheels with plenty of tread. The Kia Forte is one of those cars that impresses and pleases with its well-rounded goodness.
